A conceptual visualization exploring the visual front end of a next-generation Digital Twin system through the USS Zumwalt (DDG-1000).

The film demonstrates how a complex naval platform can evolve from a static 3D asset into a continuously connected digital environment—integrating system architecture, real-time telemetry, maintenance history, engineering models, and predictive analytics.

Beginning at the vessel level, the visualization progressively moves deeper into its systems and individual components, transforming operational data into spatial, intuitive visual information. Live telemetry and historical maintenance data are combined with physics-based engineering models to identify anomalies, simulate future degradation, predict potential failures, and ultimately translate those insights into recommended maintenance actions.

Rather than presenting the Digital Twin as a conventional dashboard, the concept treats the 3D asset itself as the interface—allowing data, system behavior, engineering analysis, and predictive intelligence to exist directly within the physical context of the vessel.
